♥ Eco Lovely reusable konjac facial sponges
Made 100% of natural Konjac plant root fibers, a plant native to Asia. It has been used in Japan as a bath sponge for newborn babies for more than 100 years because of its soft texture.
Free of harsh chemicals. Fragrance free and hypoallergenic.
PH balanced and rich in vitamins and minerals.
They are perfect for all skin types (and children!) and are gentle enough for daily use.
These facial and body sponges cleanse whilst promoting blood flow and balancing the skin's pH levels with its natural alkalinity. They can be used on its own, or with the cleanser of your choice. If you use a cleanser, use less than normal, as the sponge helps the cleanser to work harder and go further.
Our konjac Sponges were infused with other ingredients to make them even more beneficial to specific skin types, such as:
- Activated bamboo charcoal: it’s ideal for oily and acne prone skin. The charcoal is known for its deeply absorbent and detoxifying properties, and it’ll remove black-heads.
- Lavender extract: it’s ideal for sensitive skin. Lavender contains a number of properties designed to soothe inflammation, treat acne and moisturize dry skin.
- Pure konjac: it’s ideal for all skin types. It cleanses, exfoliates and moisturises all at the same time.
- Rose extract: it’s ideal for dry and sensitive skin as it improves skin elasticity. It’ll refine pores and provide a soothing effect.
- Volcanic ashes: Ideal for all skin types. It gently cleanses and exfoliates the skin.
To dispose of your konjac sponge: simply dispose of it in the organic waste bin (it will break down within weeks) or in your garden compost (it will break down within 4 months) and let it biodegrade naturally. Eco Lovely: from Earth, to Earth!
Some things to know:
When dry, konjac sponges are hard and brittle; however, simply add a little water and watch the sponge soften into a delicate sponge.
To use your konjac sponge: soak the sponge in water for a while and press it several times to expel the excess water before using. Massage gently in circular motions on your face or body.
Rinse the sponge and press it gently with two hands until dry. Store and hang the sponge in a cool and well-ventilated place to air dry properly. Rinsing and drying out after each use will allow the sponges to last longer.
Keep out of wet and damp areas when not in use to allow sponge to fully dry to prevent moulding.
They also can be water-based make-up remover, it’s just add water and gently massage it over your face or add a drop of your favourite makeup remover or cleansing product. Although it is great for removing makeup, we recommend removing your makeup first, and then follow up with the konjac sponge for best results and to prolong the life of the sponge.
